The toponym Cintoia may be of Roman derivation which refers to an area of ​​land of a “centuria”, about 50 hectares, but is more likely attributable to the Lombard period of a “centena”, a rural division of the early medieval period. The farmhouse is mentioned in the famous historical dictionary “Repetti”; in the past it was an oratory attended by the chaplain who celebrated religious functions. You can still admire the chapel dominated by an ancient bell and in the facade a terracotta bas-relief depicting the Madonna and child. The structure dates back to the 1400s, it is surrounded by greenery and by gentle hills with an unspoiled landscape of Chianti Rufina and extends along the right bank of the Sieve river just 30 km from Florence. It is the ideal holiday for families with children, for friends but also for couples who want to enjoy a holiday in total relaxation lulled by the sounds of nature. The country estate has been recently restored in total respect of the style and maintaining the elegance of the typical Tuscan architecture, it is located in the area of Pontassieve, composed of villages of houses separated by an exotic sand-colored swimming pool with crystal clear water that changes with the change of the weather conditions with a “Caribbean” effect that contrasts with the splendid view of the countryside scenery of the Val di Sieve hills overlooking an immense valley. It is a true oasis of peace and quiet for those who want to breathe the scents of nature and relax in total tranquility. The park around allows you to choose secluded spaces and let your children have fun in the playground area with slides, swings and climbing.

The farm is located in an isolated and quiet area but ideal for quick excursions to the cities of art and the most important locations; Scopeti train station is 5 km away from which you can reach the center of Florence in half an hour of travel.
Trekking lovers can follow the paths marked by the CAI that connect it with Mugello or go hiking around the property surrounded by nature.

If you like trekking, you can not miss the easily accessible path that winds through the woods where many species of wild animals find refuge. With a little patience and luck you can observe wild animal while walking. The path is equipped as an open-air museum with panels and information sheets in the panoramic points and in the significant places. A few kilometers away there is an equestrian center with the possibility of taking lessons or horseback riding.
